Frequently Asked Questions

Why are we doing this?

To raise the profile of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and raise money to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. A million miles sounds like a crazy goal – some people might think it is unattainable. Sometimes, to get the world to notice, you have to be a little crazy! But Alex showed us that you can reach seemingly unattainable goals.

How do I raise money?

People can donate directly on your fundraising page, which can be shared via social media or email. You can host any type of fundraising event. We also have a recognition program for supporters who go the extra mile. Check out our Fundraising Guide for more tips and ideas.

How do I track and log my miles?

Beginning on September 1st, you can log miles for The Million Mile either manually on your page or by connecting your account to any of these smartphone applications: MapMyFitness, Fitbit or Strava. Learn more here.
