Mercury Insurance Raises $15,500 For Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s Fight Against Childhood Cancer Research

Auction of 2015 Kia Sorento raises the most money at an IAA ALSF event

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2014) – Mercury Insurance today auctioned off a 2015 Kia Sorento for $15,500, contributing to the fight against childhood cancer. All proceeds will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer. The Kia, with less than 200 miles on the odometer, donated by Mercury, packed a house of live bidders at the Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA) branch in Anaheim, and was available to hundreds online.

MILWAUKEE -- (September 29, 2014) – Thomas Sperber of Northwestern Mutual’s Cincinnati office will present a $20,000 quality of care grant to Mariko DeWire M.D., a local pediatric oncologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, as part of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation Childhood Cancer Community Grant Program.

Rahal Announces Third Annual Helmet Auction Benefiting Children’s Charities

Auction Proceeds to Support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer

Indianapolis , Ind. (September 5, 2014) – Verizon IndyCar Series driver, Graham Rahal, announced today that the Graham Rahal Foundation will conduct its third annual helmet auction benefiting children’s charities. The auction will feature the helmet that was designed by 10-year-old cancer survivor, Daniel Cooper, and worn by Rahal when he raced in the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma in Sonoma, Calif. on Sunday, Aug. 24.
