Pain and Symptom Experiences in Children with Cancer

Project Goals


The purpose of this study is to examine the pain and symptom experiences of children with cancer following discharge from hospitalization. More specifically, this study will: 1) monitor and evaluate pain and symptoms in children and adolescents at home following hospitalization, using a portable electronic system (Personal Digital Assistant; PDA); and 2) examine the relationship between pain, fatigue, and symptoms and sleep/activity patterns and quality of life.
