The Childhood Cancer Blog

September starts now! Meet our hero, Tony.

We're only one day into our #Journey2aMillion and thanks to all of you participating in The Million Mile - Run. Walk. Ride. (AMM) during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we've already logged more than 4,000 miles - wow! Surely this September, or SeptAMMber as we're calling it, will be one to remember and help to raise mega-awareness for childhood cancer and the need to fund research into cures.

Remember - anyone, anywhere, at any point during the month of SeptAMMber can join The Million Mile. So, if the end of summer had you a bit preoccupied, there's still plenty of time to create or join a team and start logging the miles you run, walk and/or ride throughout the month to help us collectively complete 1 million miles. Check out our AMM dashboard, which is updated daily for more inspiration.

Each week throughout the month, our blog will focus on a different aspect of childhood cancer and we're kicking off with the most important - our childhood cancer heroes. These brave children and their families are counting on us to help raise awareness and funds dedicated to childhood cancer research so that better treatments and cures can be found. Today, we're proud to introduce you to Tony - a brave 7-year-old battling brain cancer who likes mashed potatoes and steak, is committed to being the best big brother he can be, and wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Take 3 minutes out of your day (actually only 2 minutes and 55 seconds) to meet Tony and hear firsthand why your support is so important.
