Ava J, SuperSib

Ava is a playful 8-year-old who is always up for a trip to the playground. She loves singing, dancing, drawing, soccer and doing her makeup. When Ava isn’t spending time with her friends or her collection of stuffies, she’s being a supportive sibling to her older sister, Hannah.

Ever since Hannah was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, Ava has been ready to lend a hand, whether it’s getting her a snack, pushing her wheelchair or keeping other kids in check about Hannah’s disabilities.

In 2025, Ava’s mom enrolled her in the SuperSibs program for extra support while her sister spent 100 days at the hospital undergoing treatment. When Hannah was discharged, Ava was so excited to have her best friend and playmate home that she had no trouble adapting to Hannah’s changes and finding inclusive ways to play together.

Ava and her family are grateful that the SuperSibs program was there with care packages to make sure that Ava didn’t feel overlooked. She loved receiving stickers, books and a stuffie from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, especially around her birthday.

Today, Hannah is in remission, and Ava continues to support her sister with unconditional love every step of the way.
