SuperSib Noah is the comedian of his family—always making everyone laugh and playing pranks. He adores his little sister Allie, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Noah loves to play with his Allie and to travel.

Noah and his family moved from the United States to a foreign country (they are a military family). Within two months of leaving everything and everyone he know, his sister Allie was diagnosed with ALL and Noah had the hard job of learning about cancer. He hates that some of Allie’s medications make her angry and sleepy. Noah has risen to the challenge and his parents are so proud of the way Noah supports Allie, tells her story and has adapted to a difficult situation.  He is his sister’s biggest champion!

Noah goes with Allie to her treatments. Noah has firsthand knowledge of the entire chemo process, which has helped him understand how the chemo was helping and also how the chemo could have side effects. Noah is also Allie’s best friend and playmate at the hospital. The other children at Allie’s hospital speak a different language, making treatments long and lonely for Allie. During Allie’s first year of treatment, Noah did not have a normal school year and spent most of his time at the hospital or with his Dad at work.

Allie is in remission this year. Noah’s mom hopes this means he will be able to play sports and do the things he wanted to but could not last year.

Despite all the disruption, Noah is a constant source of entertainment and fills his family in on all the animal facts he learns daily.  A few friends have sent Noah special packages to make sure he knows that he is not forgotten. This has helped Noah remember how special he is too!  One package contained an orange shirt—which has become one of his favorites. Noah likes to say: “I wear orange for my sister.”
