What is Battle of the Classes?

Battle of the Classes is a school fundraising program that allows students to compete against each other, while rallying together around a common cause—childhood cancer. Through a series of challenges, competitions can be held between classes, grades, or schools. The mission is to host a number of wide-ranging challenges, representing the many challenges children with cancer are forced to endure every day.

Battle of the Classes can be hosted either indoors or outdoors any time of year. Coordinators can add any events they see fit (see challenge ideas for inspiration). Field days or spirit weeks are perfect opportunities to incorporate a philanthropic component like Battle of the Classes.

How does Battle of the Classes work?

Fill out a form and an event coach from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will be in touch with you. They will set up the team pages for your school. Members can be added on each team by you, the member themselves, or your event coach.

Team members can raise money as individuals towards a team goal and the grand total—for example, student Jane Doe can share her fundraising page with family and friends to raise money for Team Sixth Grade, which goes towards the grand total of Main Street Middle School.

Your event coach will be there to provide any assistance necessary every step of the way. They will support all technology needs for your event page, provide ideas and send over some marketing materials. They will be the point of contact from the Foundation for any questions you may encounter. Your event coach will work with you to plan and execute your event, from pre- to post-event needs.
