Shrine Knights Cancer Awareness Football Game

I'm holding a fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation with a Lemonade Stand at the Shrine Knight's first Cancer Awareness Game. My son Brian Thomas did not attend Shrine, but was a former football player under Coach Brent Widdows, who is now coaching for the Shrine High School Knights Football team. Brian had an unbreakable bond with Coach Widdows who was also his mentor and friend. Brian was 18 when he lost his battle with spinal cord cancer in 2011. Let's move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! You can join me by attending the game (I'll save you a cup of lemonade) or making a donation right to this page. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer, giving the families of children with cancer the hope they so dearly deserve.  Thanks for your support! Paula Thomas, Brian's Mom.

Game On Against Cancer

Hi! Our names are Liz and Aidan. We are currently students at Ramapo College of New Jersey and childhood friends. When we were 13, our friend Ronald unfortunately passed after a long battle with Leukemia. We have done Lemonade Stands in his honor ever since, and we wanted to bring this important and special cause to Ramapo. 'Sunny' Ronald was such a light, brightening the lives of all who knew him. It's our turn to give back and bring the Ramapo community in on the fight against childhood cancer. Game On Against Cancer will be a basketball tournament featuring food, a halftime show, prizes, and, of course, an Alex's Lemonade Stand. Please join us the night of October 17th for a night of fun and food!
