Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a national nonprofit foundation devoted to finding cures for all children with cancer, announces the latest grant award recipients of their Crazy 8 Initiative. The 2022 recipients will receive grants totaling more than $6 million, exceeding the original $25 million funding commitment to the Crazy 8 Initiative from ALSF to $26 million.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit committed to curing childhood cancer, invites families and individuals across the country to visit and support local lemonade stands during Alex’s Lemonade Days (June 4-12).
The national volunteer fundraiser commemorates ALSF founder Alexandra “Alex” Scott’s challenge to raise $1 million for childhood cancer cures, one cup of lemonade at a time. Volunteers are invited to host lemonade stands during the first full week of June to continue Alex’s mission and bring renewed attention to the fight against childhood cancer.
The children’s brands have bundled together their best-selling swimsuits and sunglasses in an effort to raise money for the pediatric cancer charity, ALSF, this summer. It marks the beginning of a new partnership for the two brands, with exciting product expansions and fundraising for the future.
Advanced bird products company donates portion of proceeds to childhood cancer fundraising foundation to help cure childhood cancer
September 1, 2021 (CLEVELAND) – Having a child with cancer is one of the most painful and difficult situations a family can face. To support children and families affected by childhood cancer, Nature’s Way Bird Products is donating a portion of the proceeds from their new Hummingbird Lemonade Stand feeder to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer non-profit organization.
The Family Foundation Based out of Virginia Grants ALSF $75,000 with the Goal of Curing the Incurable
Bala Cynwyd, PA – Kate’s Cause, a childhood cancer foundation based out of Herndon, Virginia, has donated $75,000 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to co-fund cutting-edge research by Dr. Yael Mossé, MD, of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Kate’s Cause and ALSF share a vision of funding high impact childhood cancer research to find cures for hard-to-treat childhood cancers.
Ellie was a sweet and sassy little girl who brought joy to everyone around her. Shortly after Ellie turned 2 years old, she was diagnosed with a rare leukemia called JMML. Sadly, Ellie passed away, but never lost her smile throughout her fight.
