It's Finally Here - National Lemonade Days Weekend!

Home » Blog

Hooray - it's June and National Lemonade Days weekend is just about to kick off! It's our busiest week of the year here, but all of us at ALSF are excited, inspired and ready for another incredible week and summer of working with you, our dedicated supporters.

Do you want to get involved in Lemonade Days (June 6-8) but haven't registered to hold a stand yet? Not a problem - there's still plenty of time to sign up and hold a stand or event. Simply register on our website, check out our downloads section for signs and posters you can print out, and have a great event knowing that you are part of a team of thousands of other supporters holding stands over the weekend.

If you can't hold a stand, support your neighbors! Search for stands and events in your area and stop by for a glass of cold lemonade. Additionally, several ALSF sponsors host fundraisers of their own not just this weekend, but throughout the month of June providing more ways to get involved - a few are mentioned below, but you can check out the full list of sponsor events online.

Thank you for your support!

A&P – From Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 15, over 300 A&P locations will sell paper lemons to raise funds for ALSF. Select locations will also host lemonade stands during the fundraising effort.

A.C. Moore – From Monday, June 23 through Friday July 25, all 140 A.C. Moore stores along the East Coast will participate in a fundraising drive by asking customers to donate $1 to ALSF during checkout.

The golf outing will act as a preview to over 800 participating Applebee’s restaurants nationwide selling paper lemons and/or donating a portion of the sales from each lemonade sold (all varieties) through their Summer Squeeze promotion from July 1-31.

Country Time As part of their Famtastic Lemonade Stand-tacular, Country Time Lemonade is inviting stand hosts across the country to upload photos to their favorite social media channels of their stands using the hashtag #countrytime. For each photo that is uploaded, Country Time will donate $5, up to $50,000, to ALSF.

Shoppers are encouraged to visit QVC.com to order this special piece.

Rita’s Italian Ice – From June 1-30, Rita’s guests at their more than 600 locations will have the opportunity to purchase a paper lemon through a $1 donation. The funds raised will be designated to the Rita’s Fund of Hope, to ensure the travel needs of families whose children are battling cancer are met.

Teleflora – Beginning in April and spanning through September, Teleflora will offer customers the opportunity to purchase floral bouquets from the Sunny Day Pitcher Collection in support of ALSF. For each Sunny Day Pitcher bouquet sold at teleflora.com, 10% of the revenue will be donated to the Foundation.

Toys“R”Us® – For the fourth consecutive year, Toys“R”Us is hosting a two-month, in-store and online fundraising and awareness campaign benefiting ALSF. Now through Thursday, July 31, customers can make donations at all Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us® stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com/AlexsLemonade. This year, Toys“R”Us kicked off the campaign with a new consumer engagement initiative, #Stir4ACure, which encourages social media users to show support for ALSF by sharing who or what they stir for – whether it’s a cure, a family member or all children fighting cancer using a downloadable sign and the dedicated hashtag.

Volvo Cars of North America – Volvo will have a presence at Alex’s “Original” Lemonade Stand in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, where they will draw the raffle winner for a brand new Volvo XC60. All proceeds will be donated to ALSF. Additionally, with the purchase of every new Volvo, participating Volvo retailers will donate $10 to ALSF.
