Sarcomas refer to cancers that form in the connective tissues of the body—the bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, and other supporting tissues. There are more than 70 different types of sarcomas. Osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma are two common types that arise from bone cells. Soft tissue sarcomas, like rhabdomyosarcoma, form in the muscles and other connective tissue of the body.
For some of these sarcomas, treatment options haven’t changed in decades, but Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is funding research to help. You can too by sharing our awareness graphics on social media or donating to fund research discovering new treatment options for these kids.
