Fantastic Foodie Fun!

As we come to the end of a fantastic and awfully hectic week and a half, we capped off the festivities with The Great Chefs Event benefitting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation on Tuesday, June 14. This event, which invites culinary greats from across the country and world to the Urban Outfitters Headquarters in the Navy Yard, is a staff favorite, allowing ALSF employees the opportunity to sample the delicious fare. This year was no different, and in order to let you know us all a little better, we asked the staff what their favorite dishes of the night were. Here is a quick rundown:

Connie Funston, Fundraising Specialist; Jennifer Kelly, Fundraising Specialist; and Sheryl Garton, Special Events Manager - Tuna Tartare Tacos made by Franklin Becker

Nichole Hayward, Data Entry Manager & Jim Boerckel, Controller – burger by Shake Shack

Gillian Kocher, Public Relations Specialist – Shrimp & Grits by John Besh

Erin Ohlsen, Grassroots and Volunteer Programs Coordinator - Bacon and Chocolate Chip Cookies made by Mindy’s Hot Chocolate and Dessert Bar

Craig Richetti, Webmaster - Passion Fruit Glazed Pork Ribs by Jose Garces

Cara Salladino, Fundraising Specialist - S’mores made by Suzanne Goin

Jay Scott, Alex’s dad – Gnocchi by Jonathan Waxman

Liz Scott, Alex’s mom – Lobster Roll by Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier

Is your mouth watering yet? If it is, we hope you’ll join us at our other culinary events in 2011 – LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade on November 6 and Lemon: NYC on December 6.
