What is Lemonade Days?

Lemonade Days is a meaningful, nationwide event that started in the front yard of Alex Scott in 2004. Each year, we honor her legacy and dream of raising $1 million for kids with cancer in June. Thousands of supporters host their stands and fundraising events during this time to show their support for children with cancer and continue fighting for a cure.

Who was Alex?

Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) is the founder of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, before her first birthday. At age 4, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. She reached her goal of raising $1 million before passing away at the age of 8. Read more about her here.

Can I participate outside of Lemonade Days?

Absolutely – childhood cancer never lets up and we don't either! We encourage our supporters to hold a stand any time that works for them. Please check out the Get Involved page for fundraiser ideas outside of Lemonade Days.

Can anyone host a lemonade stand?

Yes! We believe that everyone can make a difference, and we encourage everyone to get involved. Our supporters include families, businesses, schools and more. We love to work with people of all ages. You should register your stand through our website beforehand so one of our coaches can send materials and help you in your efforts. By registering, you can also encourage family and friends to donate online.

How does the money I raise help kids with cancer?

Your donations help to fund new and innovative research projects searching for new cures for all types of childhood cancer. You are also providing support to families affected by childhood cancer through our other programs like Travel for Care, SuperSibs, and The Childhood Cancer Guides. Learn more about how your donation helps here.

What is included in my fundraising kit?

Lemonade Days fundraising kits may vary, but they generally include the following:

  • A guide booklet and other resources for planning your fundraiser.
  • Posters, banners, and other items to market your fundraiser.
  • Information about ALSF and childhood cancer.
  • Fun extras like tattoos, stickers and wristbands!

How do I get additional supplies for my stand?

We recommend asking local businesses to donate supplies you may need for your stand. Ask your coach for a letter of support that acknowledges your partnership with ALSF that you can use to ask for donations. We also have some additional supplies available for purchase in our gift shop.

Where is my fundraising kit?

If you chose to receive a fundraising kit during the registration process, it will be sent as we get closer to the event. If you have questions about your kit, please contact your stand coach or email [email protected].

Can I print my own materials using your logos?

Yes, we encourage our event hosts to design their own banners, flyers or signs and incorporate our logos. You can find our logos and some extra printable materials on our downloads page.

How do I cancel or change the date of my stand?

If you need to reschedule or cancel your stand, please contact your event coach or email [email protected]. You can also change the date of your stand by logging into your account, going to your event page, and choosing “Manage Your Page” then “Edit this Fundraising Page.”

What is my event ID?

Your Event ID is a seven-digit number we use to make sure the funds you send us are credited to your stand. This can be found at the top of your event page. If you are having trouble finding it, please ask your event coach or contact [email protected].

Why aren’t my donations on my event page?

Lemonade Days is our busiest time of year, and it can take 2 – 4 weeks for mailed donations or Venmo donations to show on your event page. Online donations should display on your page immediately. Please contact your event coach if you do not see donations on your page after this period.
