A message from Jay and Liz Scott, Alex's Parents:

Many of you think of Alex as a hero – the sweet and courageous lemonade girl who inspired others to help children with cancer. Although she did not get the chance to live a long life, she showed us what it means to live a full life. Her bravery, strength and love of life continue to inspire us every day. She is indeed our hero!

Since Alex was diagnosed in 1997, millions more children worldwide have suffered because of cancer. These kids all have hopes and dreams of long lives. They have parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents and cousins who cherish them. They all inspire those who know them with their bravery, strength, and love of life. They are all heroes.

Sara was the kind of kid who lit up a room when she walked in. She had the biggest smile and an even bigger heart. Sadly, Sara passed away due to a complication with her treatment during her fight with germinoma, but she left bright memories behind.
Lakelynn was just 3 years old when she was diagnosed with cancer. A rare, inoperable sarcoma was wrapped around the nerves that controlled her arm. Surgery, radiation and chemotherapy were not safe treatment options for Lakelynn.
When Jimmy was 5 years old he started falling asleep in class and vomiting for no reason. Concerned, his parents took him to the doctor where he was sent for a CAT scan, then an MRI, and then surgery. Jimmy was diagnosed with medulloblastoma.

Charlie has been through a lot in his 19 years. He's been diagnosed with two different types of pediatric cancer, lost vision in his left eye, and spent more days and nights in the hospital than he can count. And Charlie isn't finished fighting.
The night before Matteo was diagnosed with a rare pediatric kidney cancer, his mom was up late baking cookies for a lemonade stand. Matteo had one of his kidneys removed, but unfortunately relapsed three months later. Today, he is cancer-free!
Kensley Tobiason
Kensley is a little girl who truly shines. But it was a dark day when doctors discovered she had a rare form of leukemia: CML. Now, she is taking chemo every day, monitoring her white blood cell count and having bone marrow tests every three months.
Alison has a motor that doesn't stop - she's always running. But when it seemed Alison was low on energy, her parents got concerned and took her to the emergency room. At 3 years old, Alison was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
At only 4 months old, doctors discovered a mass on Ellie's right shoulder. After fighting rhabdomyosarcoma, she relapsed at 22 months old. Her fight was tough, including 28 sessions of proton radiation, but years later, she has proved she's Ellie Strong!
Maddie was a happy little toddler able to light up any room. She was diagnosed with atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT), but that didn't keep her from dancing and smiling. Unfortunately, Maddie passed away, but her story is not over.
Maddie Shaw
Maddie was 8 years old when she began having unexplained pain, tingling and numbness in her left leg. An X-ray revealed cancer and Maddie began the battle of a lifetime. After years of relapses, and finally entering high school, Maddie sadly passed away.
Hailey Wiggins
Hailey didn't let her chordoma diagnosis stop her from living her life. She worked a part-time job, attended prom and graduated high school all while receiving radiation treatment five days a week as well as multiple surgeries.
Sylvia loves being active, volunteering, and being . After an MRI revealed a brain tumor instead of a suspected food allergy, Sylvia's entire life changed. She had surgery two days later and then began treatment. Thankfully today, she is cancer-free!
Aribelle is an energetic, spunky and loving 5-year-old little girl. She’s typically grinning from ear-to-ear and can make anyone laugh. But for a while, Aribelle had a nasty cough and trouble breathing. After testing, she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
Cameron
Cam loves sports, but had to put baseball practice on hold when he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. A growing lump on his leg, which he nicknamed Sparky, would not go away. Displaying incredible strength, Cam powered through surgery and treatment.

Kabir is a boy that wants to bring happiness to people’s souls. He was just 4 years old when he was diagnosed with a high-risk form of leukemia, known as Philadelphia Chromosome-positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (PH+ ALL). Today, he is 11.
Cooper in a lemon suit
Cooper faced something pretty terrifying at a young age, when he was diagnosed with stage IV Wilms tumor, a type of kidney cancer, in August 2012 at just 4 years old. Today, he is committed to giving back and raising $1 million just like Alex did.
